ArtePrize 2017 features a brand-new app to showcase artists’ latest works – Call for applications

Deadline: 1 October 2017

Conceived by Shohidul Ahad-Choudhury, founder of the ArteVue App, the ArtePrize is a non-profit prize that has been designed to support young, emerging artists harnessing the global power of technology.

The prize has very few requirements and has been designed with the same mind-set as the ArteVue app. It aims to provide a platform for the artists that need it the most: global artists aged 18 to 30 who are not yet represented by an established gallery.

Submissions will be exclusively uploaded through the ArteVue app. Two-dimensional works on paper and canvas, photography and 3-dimensional sculptures valued up to US$25,000 will be accepted.

100 finalists will be interviewed by the judging panel and the top 10 will be featured in a stand-alone exhibition at The Delfina Foundation on Wednesday 22 November 2017, from which one overall winner will be selected on opening night.

The winner will also receive a cash prize of US $15,000 and a highly coveted three month all-expenses paid artistic residency with the Delfina Foundation in London.

To apply, applicants should follow seven simple steps described in detail here. Applications should first download the ArteVue App (only available for iPhone and iPad).

Applicants should make sure their submission addresses the following theme:

"The Art World of The Future – We want you to create a piece that shows us your interpretation of the art world of the future. Are we ultimately moving towards an unlimited, free, open and limitless global creative environment – or does technology restrict us, reduce creativity, take away the value of draftsmanship, encourage plagiarism and ultimately create new boundaries that never existed before? Perhaps it’s somewhere in between. Show us. Create. Debate. Stimulate discussion.”

The deadline for applications is 1 October 2017.
