Designers in Residence offers three scholarships in the fields of jewellery, fashion, accessory and industrial design – Call for residency

EMMA – Creative Center of Pforzheim invites international young designers in the fields of jewellery, fashion, accessory and industrial design to apply for a three-month working phase as part of the “Designers in Residence” scholarship programme.
Fully equipped workplaces in the workshops will be available for the scholarship holders’ use, as will accommodation for the period of the scholarship. If required, the workshop facilities at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences can also be used. In addition, each scholarship holder receives a monthly allowance, and a reimbursement of the travel expenses to the site and back home.
The best three applications will be considered. The residency lasts from April to June 2019.
The application files must include:
• a presentation of the project that will be developed during the residency;
• examples of recent design work;
• proof of a final degree;
• a curriculum vitae.
Applicants must have completed studies at a university of applied sciences or a university, must not be older than 35 and/or must have completed their studies not longer than two years ago. Language skills in German or English are obligatory.
Artistic productions resulting from the residency will be presented at an exhibition at the EMMA – Creative Center Pforzheim, in cooperation with the Design Center Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart.
Applications must be submitted before 15 November 2018.
