Travel grants available to IETM members for participation in “Caravan Palestine 2018” – Travel grant
Deadline: 22 October 2018
IETM, the international network for contemporary performing arts, provides financial assistance to its members for their participation in the network’s meetings in the form of travel grants.
In 2003, IETM started building a bridge between the Palestinian and European art communities with the “100 artists in Palestine” initiative. Later that decade, the network took part in the “Voices of Palestine”, a series of conferences focusing on the work of Palestinian artists working across all disciplines. In 2010, it partook in an insightful caravan journey to Ramallah and Jerusalem.
Today, IETM is excited to join forces with the Al Harah Theatre, Arts Council Malta and Zigu Zajg in order to organise a long-awaited return to Ramallah with “Caravan Palestine 2018” and discover Bethlehem, creating real opportunities for the members to exchange ideas and projects with the local scene, and forge new bonds and potential partnerships. “Caravan Palestine 2018” will be held from 29 November to 4 December 2018.
The travel grants can cover up to 75% of the travel and accommodation expenses in connection with the meeting. The grants do not cover per diem, visa or local transport expenses (taxi, bus, etc).
The travel grant is offered to IETM members - regardless of the country where they are based - who meet the following criteria:
- The applicant or his/her organisation has been a member of IETM for at least one year;
- The annual turnover of his/her organisation or of his/her freelance activities does not exceed €100,000;
- The applicant has already settled his/her membership fee for this year.
The deadline for applications for the travel grant is 22 October 2018, and the deadline to register for “Caravan Palestine 2018” is 26 October 2018.
The grantees are responsible for booking their own travel, which will be partially refunded after the meeting upon receipt of the grant report. The five nights of accommodation covered by the grant will be booked and paid for directly by IETM. A travel grant is only offered to one person per organisation.
